How Can a Student Provide Proof of Hours For Driving Lessons Taken with Another Company in California?
In the state of California, you know that one of the requirements needed to obtain a driver's license if you're under 17 and 1/2 years of age is to complete six hours of professional driving lessons. While we would love for you to complete all six of those hours here at Coastline Academy, we understand that you may have completed a lesson or two with another company before finding us.
So, how can you transfer those hours over to Coastline?
Providing Proof of Hours Completed
Am I allowed to transfer my hours from another school to Coastline?
Yes!
To transfer your previously completed hours, you will need to acquire a proof of completed hours letter from the original school. This must be an official letter from that school, meaning it needs to be printed on the driving school's letterhead and include the driving school's name, address, and license number.
This letter must also include your student details:
- Student's Legal Name
- Student's Date of Birth
- Date(s)/Time(s) of all Lessons Completed
Once that letter is completed, either you or the transferring school can email it to hello@coastlineacademy.com. When the letter is received, our Support Team will update your records and your instructor will know exactly where you are at in your training process!
If you ever have any questions while you maneuver through this process, always feel free to reach out to our friendly Support Team to help you out! And make sure to book your driving lesson now so when you have that transfer letter in hand, you are ready to go!
