How Many Hours Of Driving Lessons Do I Need In Nevada?
You are excited to get your drivers license, we get it. With the driver license process being different in every state, you might be wondering how many hours of driving lessons do I need in Nevada? Coastline Academy looks into that question for you today.
The Answer: 50 Hours
In Nevada, new drivers under 18 must first enroll in a driver education course as the first step. After that is completed and you have all the necessary paperwork, you can obtain your Instruction Permit from your local DMV office.
As far as behind-the-wheel experience goes, all young drivers are required to complete 50 hours of driving. This must be done with a licensed driver, who is 21 or older and has been licensed for at least one year, seated next to you at all times. Of those 50 hours, 10 hours must be completed in darkness.
Also, if driver education is not offered within a 30-mile radius from your home and you don't want to take an online course, then you must complete 100 hours of supervised experience with 10 hours being done in darkness.
For tracking purposes, you must keep a written log of the dates and times of these driving lessons. This log will be submitted when you go to take your driving skills test at the DMV. If you are looking to do driving lessons with a professional driving instructor, which we offer at Coastline Academy, then those hours do count toward the required 50 hours.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to our friendly support staff and make sure to book your driving lesson today and learn to drive from one of our Coastline driving instructors!
