Teen Testing Requirements (16-17 years old)
Before your test, make sure you have:
- A valid Learner's License held for at least 6 months and be at least 16 years old.
- You must have completed both the classroom and in-car portions of your teen driver's ed program, as well as 30 hours of supervised practice.
- Two copies of your DE-964 form "FOR DRIVER'S LICENSE ONLY" copy. If you completed your classroom portion with another school in-person or online, you'll need copies of your certificate from that provider as well.

- Bring a completed teen driver's license application.
Adult Testing Requirements (18 years and older)
Before your test, make sure you have:
- If you're 18-24 years old, two copies of your ADE-1317 certificate from a 6-hour adult driver's ed class.
- If you're 25 or older, no ADE-1317 is required.
- A valid Texas Learner's Permit.

If You're Testing In Your Own Vehicle
Be sure to bring:
- A physical copy of your insurance card.
