Pass written test at PENNDOT
Before you can take your written test at PENNDOT, you'll need to be 16 years old. Pass your test to receive your Learner's Permit.
Take driving lessons
While optional in Pennsylvania, we highly recommend taking at least one driving lesson with a professional instructor.
Log your practice hours
Before you can take your road test, you must log 65 hours of driving practice, including 10 hours at night and five (5) hours of bad weather driving.
Take your Road Test & Get your Junior License
After holding your permit for at least 6 months, you can take your road test. Want to skip the line at PENNDOT? Take your test with us!

Driving lessons in Glenside are designed to build a strong foundation of essential skills for new drivers. Students first become comfortable with vehicle control, proper turning, and navigating stop signs in quieter residential neighborhoods. This calm setting allows for mastering the fundamentals before moving on to areas with more complex traffic, helping to build confidence behind the wheel step by step.
Once core skills are established, lessons progress to busier roads like PA-309. This provides crucial practice with managing higher speeds, merging safely, and reading traffic patterns. Applying these skills on routes toward nearby Jenkintown and Abington prepares students for the varied driving conditions they will encounter on their own, from multi-lane roads to complex intersections.
We offer flexible pickup and drop-off at home, school, or work when available. To accommodate various schedules, some lessons may begin at convenient meeting points in the area, which will be shown once you start searching availability.
Our ultimate aim is to empower each student with the defensive driving techniques and situational awareness needed for a lifetime of safe travel. We focus on translating structured lessons into the practical, confident ability required for everyday journeys.
