Pass written test at PENNDOT
Before you can take your written test at PENNDOT, you'll need to be 16 years old. Pass your test to receive your Learner's Permit.
Take driving lessons
While optional in Pennsylvania, we highly recommend taking at least one driving lesson with a professional instructor.
Log your practice hours
Before you can take your road test, you must log 65 hours of driving practice, including 10 hours at night and five (5) hours of bad weather driving.

After holding your permit for at least 6 months, you can take your road test. Want to skip the line at PENNDOT? Take your test with us!

Driving lessons in King of Prussia are designed to build a robust and versatile set of skills in a dynamic environment. Students begin by mastering fundamentals like steering, braking, and parking in quieter residential areas or large, open lots. This controlled setting allows new drivers to build a solid foundation of confidence before navigating the area's more complex traffic scenarios, which is essential for developing safe habits from the very first lesson.
As confidence grows, instructors introduce students to busier routes, including major thoroughfares like US-202. This practical experience is crucial for learning to safely manage multi-lane traffic, navigate complex intersections, and merge smoothly. Practicing these skills on routes toward nearby Norristown or Wayne prepares students for the realities of everyday driving and builds their situational awareness in a real-world context.
We offer flexible pickup and drop-off at home, school, or work when available. To accommodate various schedules, some lessons may begin at convenient meeting points in the area, which will be shown once you start searching availability.
