Does a Parent Need to Be Present When My Child Is Picked Up For Their First Lesson?
We encourage parents or guardians to meet our instructors before your teen's first time on the road! This is a great time to ask questions and calm any nerves before your child gets in the driver's seat.
This being said, a parent or guardian is not required to be present at the time of pick up, as long as the student driving has their original, physical copy of their learner's permit with them.
Important!
Behind-the-wheel lessons cannot be conducted with photocopies or a picture of a learner's permit, regardless the age of the student driver. It is illegal to drive without a state-issued learner's permit present in the vehicle.
