Steps to Getting Your License
Use this guide to make sure you are in the right place in your licensing journey.
If you are under 16, you'll need to start by passing your Drivers Ed course, which is then reported to the state so you can take your written test. In-person and online options available
Schedule your appointment at the DMV and pass your written test to earn your permit.
Passed your test? Great! If you are under 16.5 years of age, you are required to take six hours of driving lessons.
After completing your driving lessons, you can take your road test. Make a reservation at the DMV and pass your test to receive your license. Want to skip the line at the DMV? Book your road test with us!

Driving lessons in Fairmount provide an excellent start for new drivers in a unique suburban setting. Situated within Jefferson County, this community offers a blend of quiet neighborhood streets and access to busier thoroughfares. Its location near the foothills provides a scenic backdrop for learning fundamental skills like navigating intersections, managing speed, and mastering vehicle control in a less intimidating environment before venturing into more complex traffic.
As confidence grows, students will transition to more challenging driving environments. Lessons incorporate practice on major routes like I-70, teaching essential skills for merging, maintaining safe following distances, and navigating high speed traffic. Practicing on the routes connecting to nearby Golden and Arvada exposes learners to varied traffic flows, multi-lane roads, and the types of conditions they will encounter daily.
We offer flexible pickup and drop-off at home, school, or work when available. To accommodate various schedules, some lessons may begin at convenient meeting points in the area, which will be shown once you start searching availability.
