Bring your completion certificate to the DPS and pass your written test to receive your learner's permit
Complete Behind-the Wheel Training
Complete 44 hours of parent-led behind-the-wheel training to receive your behind-the-wheel completion certificate
Complete ITTD Course
Complete the state required Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) Course

Driving lessons in Richmond are designed to build fundamental skills in a varied environment. Students first get comfortable with vehicle handling and traffic laws on quiet neighborhood streets, mastering smooth acceleration, braking, and parking. Progressing to the active downtown area helps build confidence navigating intersections and managing traffic, creating a solid base for more advanced challenges.
Once core skills are established, lessons transition to busier thoroughfares like I-69. This experience is essential for learning to merge safely and maintain proper speed and following distance. Practicing these routes, including trips toward nearby Sugar Land, prepares students for the dynamic conditions of regional travel, ensuring they are well-equipped for real-world driving.
We offer flexible pickup and drop-off at home, school, or work when available. To accommodate various schedules, some lessons may begin at convenient meeting points in the area, which will be shown once you start searching availability.
