If you have passed your road test through a third-party provider such as Coastline, you are should be eligible to use the Texas TXT website to finish your license application process. How Do I Start the Online License Process After Passing My Road Test?
After passing your road test through Coastline or other third-party provider, your driving school will submit all of your required documentation to the TPST/DPS. While you are waiting for the documents to be processed by the DPS, you'll want to go to the Texas TXT website and create an account.
After Coastline submits your documents and they are approved by the TPST/DPS, you will see an option to "Upgrade DL" in your TXT account profile. From there, click on "Upgrade DL" and pay the $11 processing fee. Once that has been accepted, you will be able to print your temporary license and get on the road! Note, your permanent Driver License will arrive by mail within 2 to 3 weeks of successful submission.

Summary
- Pass road test with Coastline
- Create TXT account
- Wait at least 48 hours (possibly up to 2 weeks)
- Click "Upgrade DL" and pay the $11 processing fee

- Receive your permanent license by mail with 2-3 weeks
Important! It will take a minimum of 48 hours and possibly up to 2 weeks for the TPST/DPS system to process Coastline paperwork after passing your test. Please check in with your account regularly to be on the lookout for the "Upgrade DL" option.
