How Many Hours Do You Need With A Driving Instructor In Nevada?
When applying for your driver's license in Nevada, the Department of Motor Vehicles has certain criteria you must finish first, which includes taking a drivers ed course and completing your behind-the-wheel drivers training hours. You may be wondering how many hours do you need with a driving instructor in Nevada? Each state is different, so we take on that topic for you below!
Behind-The-Wheel Training
Before beginning your behind-the-wheel training, you must first complete the Driver's Ed course and then pass your written test at the DMV office. Once those are completed and passed, then it is time to begin your behind-the-wheel training now that you have your permit in hand.
For the behind-the-wheel training, the Nevada DMV requires you to hold your instruction permit for at least six months and complete 50 hours of behind-the-wheel training (10 hours at night) under the supervision of a licensed driver who is at least 21 and has had their license for at least one year.
Nevada does not make it mandatory for students to complete behind-the-wheel training hours with a professional instructor. However, for your safety and for the safety of the drivers around you, we recommend taking lessons with an experienced instructor, which Coastline offers here.
