Pass written test at PENNDOT
Before you can take your written test at PENNDOT, you'll need to be 16 years old. Pass your test to receive your Learner's Permit.
Take driving lessons
While optional in Pennsylvania, we highly recommend taking at least one driving lesson with a professional instructor.
Log your practice hours
Before you can take your road test, you must log 65 hours of driving practice, including 10 hours at night and five (5) hours of bad weather driving.
Take your Road Test & Get your Junior License
After holding your permit for at least 6 months, you can take your road test. Want to skip the line at PENNDOT? Take your test with us!

Driving lessons in Fort Washington are designed to build a complete set of skills for navigating its unique roadways. Students begin in calm residential areas, mastering fundamental maneuvers like smooth turning, braking, and parking. This controlled environment fosters the confidence needed to handle more dynamic traffic situations on busier local roads.
As competency grows, lessons transition to handling key routes like US-309, focusing on safe lane changes, merging, and maintaining proper following distance. This practical experience prepares students for real-world driving scenarios, such as making a short trip to nearby Ambler or managing the flow of multi-lane traffic.
We offer flexible pickup and drop-off at home, school, or work when available. To accommodate various schedules, some lessons may begin at convenient meeting points in the area, which will be shown once you start searching availability.
Our ultimate goal is to empower new drivers with the defensive techniques and sound judgment required for a lifetime of safe driving. We focus on transforming structured lessons into the confident, independent skills needed for everyday travel.
