Pass written test at PENNDOT
Before you can take your written test at PENNDOT, you'll need to be 16 years old. Pass your test to receive your Learner's Permit.
Take driving lessons
While optional in Pennsylvania, we highly recommend taking at least one driving lesson with a professional instructor.
Log your practice hours
Before you can take your road test, you must log 65 hours of driving practice, including 10 hours at night and five (5) hours of bad weather driving.
Take your Road Test & Get your Junior License
After holding your permit for at least 6 months, you can take your road test. Want to skip the line at PENNDOT? Take your test with us!

Driving lessons in Telford are focused on building a strong foundation of essential skills for safe, real-world driving. Instructors begin in quieter residential areas, the perfect environment to master core techniques like steering, speed control, and navigating local intersections. Students build confidence handling common situations like four-way stops before progressing to more challenging scenarios. This step-by-step approach ensures a comfortable and effective learning experience.
As abilities grow, lessons transition to managing busier traffic on local thoroughfares. Practicing on key routes like PA-309 helps students learn to merge safely, maintain proper following distance, and anticipate other drivers' actions. This experience is excellent preparation for practical trips, like driving to nearby Quakertown, and builds the competence needed to navigate various road types with confidence.
We offer flexible pickup and drop-off at home, school, or work when available. To accommodate various schedules, some lessons may begin at convenient meeting points in the area, which will be shown once you start searching availability.
